I think it's safe to say I suck at blogging. As much as I'd like to have a blog dedicated to one thing, I really don't think that's going to happen because I tend to get bored with it easily, which is why I named my blog Crystal's Chronicles. This way, I can make it whatever I want, whenever I want.
As you can tell I've blogged about 3 different things in the past (and not very consistently). Those things are books, Project 365, and gearing myself up for weight loss. So my goal for 2010 is to blog each day at least once because I'm going to see these three things through. Call it my quest if you will.
I've decided to re-start Project 365 starting tomorrow, December 31st.
As far as the books go, I've read a lot of great books in 2009 and wish I'd documented some of them in here. Later today I'm going to start my book reviews with the last book I finished. As time goes along, I may re-visit past books I've enjoyed.
My biggest obstacle this coming year is definitely going to be weight loss and eating healthier. I hate not feeling comfortable in my own skin so here starts my journey in remedying that.

Day 1: 30DS
Today was day 1 of the 30 Day Shred for me. I know I've been talking about starting it and I got sick of saying "tomorrow" so tomorrow became today.
I feel good after doing it..yes it was a little hard for my fat self but I kept up and did everything except the reverse crunches. It wasn't because I didn't try..I just can't do those stupid little suckers so that's part of my goal. By the end of the 30 days I hope to be able to do them..or at least do them better than I do now.

meowza
So I have decided to make my 101 in 1001 private. It just seems easier to keep it in excel with my other lists. Plus I never came up with the full 101 things and it just seems like I shouldn't put stuff on there just to have it on there if I really have no desire to do whatever it is.
Tomorrow I'm having a Harry Potter movie marathon with my friend and then Tuesday I've got people coming over for dinner and then off to see the Half Blood Prince at midnight..whoohoo

Goals and Books
I have got to get used to this blogging thing. I haven't felt that great today and so exercising is being pushed back until tomorrow. As far as eating, it's coming along slowly but surely. I am really craving a strawberry banana rendezvous from Coldstone though..lol. Luckily, spending the money for it is what's holding me back. Sad, huh?
On top of OSN, I have decided to partake in the 101 things in 1001 days. I'm still compiling my list but I should have it posted by tomorrow (not that anyone actually reads this).
As for what I'm reading, I have to read Tolstoy's The Death of Ivan Ilyich and write a paper on it that's due Monday. Needless to say the reading is done but the paper is not. Also, I was able to read a little for pleasure last night so I picked back up reading Dewey. I really thought I was going to enjoy this book because I love cats but the author spent an entire chapter on the history of the town. I'm really struggling to finish reading it but I made a promise to myself that I cannot start another book until I finish it. I just got a few Sarah Dessen books over the weekend for cheap and I've got 3 coming from PBS that I'm excited about. Man, I can't wait until June 26th when I'm done with my mini-mester class.

Motivated
It's no secret that I'm fat. I hate it but I am. To be honest, after I quit LA Weight Loss I gained back everything I lost plus 40 pounds and that depresses me. When I was at my old weight I always felt like a cow and after looking at pictures yesterday from that time, I found myself saying, "God, I wish I looked like that again."
Then I read Anna Marie's blog, Metamorphosis, and it totally inspired me. I wanted to get back into an exercise routine like I once did. Last August and this past February I signed up for this fitness program for women called Adventure Boot Camp..let me tell you that was the best decision I made. Granted, it's too expensive for me to keep on going every month but everything I learned from it was priceless. So, I asked Adam if he wanted to go running with me last night when he got off work and he did so we went! We decided for the rest of this week to start off slow (we'll go again tomorrow and do another mile) but next week we'll go 3 days a week and try to do at least 1 mile and then starting Monday I'm going to jump into doing the 30 Day Shred.
Losing weight isn't just a goal anymore, it's going to happen, along with getting myself to eat better. Thanks to all the girls on the NBC board, I feel so confident that I won't give up.

Books read in January
So far the Winter Book Challenge (WBC) and the 50 in 2009 Challenge are going ok. I haven't read as many books this month as I would have liked but I guess I can't complain with 5 completed. Hopefully I'll be adding at least 2 more to the count by Saturday's end. So far the books I've read this month are:
Dance Upon the Air and Heaven And Earth by Nora Roberts (both are parts 1 and 2 of the Three Sisters Trilogy)
Tales of Beedle the Bard and Harry Potter and the Socorer's Stone by J.K. Rowling
Twilight by Stephenie Meyer
The 2 books I plan on having done by the end of the month include the 3rd book in the Three Sisters Trilogy (Face the Fire) and This Lullaby by Sarah Dessen. I may post a brief description of each book but I'm not entirely sure yet.
